Camp Amasa at Camp Elkcanoe

Located within walking distance of the shores of Shuswap Lake just outside of Salmon Arm, Elkcanoe is adjacent to a large baseball field and Canoe Beach.
The camp is situated on two acres with paths surrounding the camp for exploring. Adjacent to a park and swimming beach but still amid a treed area gives the feeling of camping in the country but still being close to amenities.

Each cabin room contains 16 beds for total accommodation of 64 persons plus one supervisor. The main building includes a modern state of the art kitchen, large dining, activity area and bathroom shower facilities. The entire camp is designed to accommodate challenged persons to include ramps and pathways to accommodate wheelchair activity.

Our camp programs have been designed to provide a great fun filled week of camp for each camper while maintaining a slower pace to accommodate the varying needs of each camper. Included in each program is the following:

What to bring, and what not to bring to camp? |
Things to Bring
- Sleeping bag or bedding and pillow
- Jackets, hats and sunscreen
- Warm clothing, shoes and swimsuit
- Brush, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap
- Enough clothes for the duration of the camp
Do Not Bring
- any electronic devices, including cell phones
MARK ALL belongings carefully with your name to guard against loss. No electronic entertainment devices are allowed at camp.
Campers are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from camp.
